On Friday, August 6, fifteen World War II veterans from Holland Home were recognized for their service with individual rides in a Boeing Stearman biplane, the exact aircraft many veterans trained with when preparing for WWII flying missions.
Annual Golf Outing Raises Record Amount
Thank you to everyone who sponsored and attended the Holland Home Foundation 32nd Annual Golf Outing! We were able to raise over $120,000 to ensure continued care for residents in need of financial assistance. Over 200 golfers participated, many of whom braved the afternoon rain that came our way.
Congratulations to our division winners! Here’s how the outing ended:
1st Place: TMI Supply
2nd Place: Quist boys and Mike Sherman
Mixed and Senior Divisions – Random drawing for 1st and 2nd place
Our Executive Vice President, Carolyn Flietstra, has been inducted into the Michigan HomeCare & Hospice Association (MHHA) Hall of Fame. She is being recognized for her dedication to bringing compassionate care to our community and the impact she has had on homecare and hospice care throughout our state. Carolyn joins a distinguished group of past Hall of Fame recipients, including Faith Hospice’s Executive Director, Rene Wheaton. Congratulations on this tremendous achievement!
As we age, maintaining a home becomes a bigger burden and the idea of spring cleaning can be overwhelming. Remember that not everything has to be done in one day or even in one week. Enlist the help of family and friends, prioritize getting rid of clutter, and you’ll soon see your space becoming cleaner and safer.
As the situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) rapidly evolves, we want to assure you of the steps Christian Living Services and its affiliates (Holland Home, Faith Hospice, Reliance Community Care Partners, and Atrio Home Care) have taken, and are continuing to take in response to the virus to ensure the health and safety of our staff and those we serve.
