Our Breton Campus is more than a place to live—it’s a community for residents to thrive. Our BretonNext campaign includes several projects set to be completed by January 2028, which will help to ensure this remains true for current and future residents alike.
As part of the first phase of our BretoNext Capital Campaign, Breton Terrace is undergoing several upgrades. In October, EV construction removed the main stairwell and prepared the space for new railings. The floor-to-ceiling fireplace started to take shape, and the stonework is expected to be laid soon. The new transom window was cut in above the main entry to the lobby for additional natural light in the area, along with new carpet and wrapped columns for a cozier feel. Many of the finishes in the resident corridors have also been completed.
This past month, the progress continued. The new offices are framed and ready for their glass walls to be positioned. The main stairway’s spindles, handrails, and guardrails are being installed and are expected to be stained and painted in the upcoming weeks. The infrastructure of the kitchen is ready, and as we approach the completion of the tile floor, the cooler, freezer, other equipment, and countertop are nearly situated. Electrical work is ongoing throughout the lower level and kitchen area, with accent lights and speakers being added to the chapel as well.
These specific renovations at Breton Terrace are expected to be completed by February 2024, but we have many more projects planned to enhance the lifestyle of our residents, improve efficiency and sustainability, and upgrade safety and security throughout campus.
