Holland Home has become an official Testbed site for the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP. As a Testbed site, Holland Home is able to access tech startups and pilot new and innovative solutions designed with older adults in mind. At this time, Holland Home is the only Testbed site in the state of Michigan.

Holland Home has partnered with the GVSU graduate Occupational Therapy Program since 2021 to provide OT students with their Level 1 fieldwork placement. Holland Home has been named as a Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation (Breton Rehabilitation and Living Centre) and Long-Term Care (Raybrook Skilled Nursing) for 2022-23 by U.S. News & World Report.

It may be surprising to learn that it is very rare for senior communities to actually have an onsite practice where residents can easily access physicians and advanced care staff. This puts Holland Home in a distinctive position as, according to Holland Home Medical Director Dr. Duemler, “Trinity Health Grand Rapids probably has more geriatricians (5) in our practice than any other single practice in West Michigan.”
