Holland Homeās Vibrant Living team has been focused on finding the right platforms, tools, and resources to help ensure current and future residents can thrive. To help optimize social engagement, Holland Home partnered with platform Welbi in early 2022. Now, a year and a half into the partnership, weāre taking a look at the benefits it has had for our community.
Each year we take a moment to recognize and thank our amazing staff for their time of service with our organization. We are so blessed to work with such an amazing group of people, each of which live out our mission every day as they serve those who have entrusted us with their living and care needs.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has awarded Holland Home a $3.5 Million grant to attract and retain more staff. Like many providers, Holland Home has struggled to meet its growing staffing needs over the last few years. With this grant, the senior living organization hopes to create āa stable pipeline of critical caregiving staff.ā
The Roving Mic show of WGVU visited Holland Home, where host Shelley Irwin was taken through the Dementia Journey trainingāa live simulation in which the senses are altered as participants attempt to complete everyday tasks. All staff at Holland Home are required to complete the training in order to better understand what life is like for those living with dementia.
Breton Woods Park, which features walking paths, pickleball courts, bocce ball, a putting green, and a butterfly garden, is not only a tremendous addition for residents but is also beneficial for the surrounding areas it was built on.
Holland Home has brought on Suzanne Bolt, MM, SCHRM-SCP, to be their new Director of Human Resources. Suzanne comes from Pine Rest, an organization for which she has served various roles since 2002, most recently as their Director of Human Resources since 2016. >NEWS
Holland Home has become an official Testbed site for the AgeTech Collaborative⢠from AARP. As a Testbed site, Holland Home is able to access tech startups and pilot new and innovative solutions designed with older adults in mind. At this time, Holland Home is the only Testbed site in the state of Michigan.
