The Remember Me Walk on October 10 at 10:00 a.m.

Remember Me WalkAlzheimer’s is a progressive brain disease that destroys brain cells and causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common form of dementia. Holland Home provides memory care at its Raybrook and Fulton campuses, including many innovative programs that help residents maintain their dignity and feel fulfilled despite the devastating damage caused by dementia.

This year, Holland Home is launching its first annual Remember Me walk to support our memory care programs as well as help with the benevolence needs of our memory care residents.

When: October 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Stanaback Park, adjacent to the Breton Woods campus.
Who: Bring your friends and family. Dogs are welcome, too!
What: Choose from ½-mile to 3-mile trails for walking or jogging, plus refreshments, prizes, and most of all, fun!
How: Bring your donation to the walk or give your donation to a Remember Me Walk team member at your Holland Home location.

Collection envelopes are available for those interested. Your first $20 donation gets you a free Remember Me Walk t-shirt! T-shirts and bandanas are also available for purchase for your pets—t-shirt is $10 and bandanas are $5 each.
