Michigan’s largest non-profit provider of senior services embraces social media
Some things naturally go together – such as peanut butter and jelly, and snow and winter. Conversely, some things are rarely associated, like snow tires in Florida, and modern-day technology with senior citizens. However, Holland Home is embracing social media through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and a number of Holland Home-affiliated weblogs. For an organization that serves over 3100 senior citizens daily in a variety of settings, the leap to social media is a path less traveled.
“More senior citizens and their adult children are obtaining information and communicating through social media,” said Christopher Nicely, vice president of marketing for Holland Home. “In addition to what we’re already doing, our social media goal is to find new and innovative ways to interact and provide information about Holland Home’s products and services.”
