When you volunteer at Holland Home you become an important member of a dedicated team of caregivers. The work you do is just as important as the efforts of our full-time healthcare professionals, and equally beneficial to the overall well-being of our residents. Many of our volunteers see their service as a calling. For others it’s a pleasant and convenient way to share their special gifts; an hour or two a day, a week, a month. The amount of time you offer isn't as significant as the value of the gifts you bring. Our residents are grateful for every moment you share, and so are we.

Come serve with us

Join the volunteer team at Holland Home that shares their time and talents with our residents! As we grow, our needs grow as well! We need a wide variety of talent, such as hairdressers, massage therapists, retired RN's and LPN's, people who enjoy reading out loud, people who can sing or play the piano, people who would like to give manicures, assist with arts and crafts, or assist residents during special presentations. If you have time to share, chances are we have a perfect fit for you as a volunteer!

In addition to the current openings, we also provide special group and intergenerational opportunities. We need people we can call when we need volunteers to assist with special events and outings. This is ideal for civic groups, professional groups, churches or other faith-based organizations. When these opportunities arise, you can decide whether it fits your schedule or interests.

*Internship - Marketing/Event Planning Care Resource P.A.C.E.

Description

Marketing/Event Planning: We have immediate, as well as Fall and Winter openings for a marketing/event planning intern for Care Resources P.A.C.E. Program. We are looking for college juniors or seniors seeking a degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthe Care Non-Profit, or Hospitality/Tourism (focus Event Planning) to fulfill these needs. Hours would be during normal weekday business hours, and some evenings (for events). We expect a commitment of 2-3 days per week (20 hours per week). *Internship - MasterPiece Living Breton/Raybrook

Description

Exercise Science/Fitness: We are currently seeking 1-2 interns for Fall and Winter semesters for 20 hours a week. These interns will be placed under the direct supervision of the MasterPiece Living Director. The intern should be junior or senior level in a university, with a major in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physical Education. There are two locations in Grand Rapids where you would be expected to fulfill the internship (Breton Terrace/Ridge and Raybrook Estates). Please contact the Volunteer Director for more information.
