David Tiesenga
Chief Financial and Development Officer

Dave began his career at Holland Home as a patient account manager. He also served as administrator, controller and director of finance. He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University and holds a Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of Michigan.
“I’ve worked for the Holland Home organization since 1986, and it has been a blessing to be associated with a company whose top priority has always been its residents and their care.”
Scott Halquist
Director of Special Gifts

Scott came to Holland Home in 2010. He is responsible for all fundraising efforts for Faith Hospice, and manages projects for Holland Home that involve major gifts, planned gifts, and special events. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Valley State University, an associate degree in nursing from Grand Rapids Community College, and is a registered nurse.
“It is truly a blessing to be involved with Holland Home and Faith Hospice. I see it as a way to be personally involved in the ministry of Jesus Christ in caring for the needs of others as He has commissioned us to do.”
Al Moll
Senior Development Associate
Al came to Holland Home in 2010. He is responsible for various fundraising efforts for Holland Home. He has a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College.
“I am honored and blessed to be part of the Holland Home family,and to encourage Christian stewardship for the care of those in need.”
Pete Noor
Senior Development Associate
Pete has been at Holland Home since 2002. His primary role is raising awareness regarding the importance of charitable care to our resident community, and motivating people to support that care through gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Pete has a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College.

Wilma Straight
Development Coordinator

Wilma joined the Holland Home development team in 2003. Wilma manages donor databases, mailing lists, support events, and event planning, and performs numerous other duties involved with looking after the office. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Davenport University.
“It is my joy to work for Holland Home, where the mission statement openly and directly points to honoring and following Christ. While I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, my best Holland Home moments are spent out with our residents, with constituents and with coworkers.”
Laurie VandenAkker

Laurie has been with the development staff since 2005. Laurie handles gift entry, follow-up communication with donors, tribute reports, and helps maintain database accuracy.
“I enjoy working for Holland Home because of its commitment to serve its residents. I experienced this commitment when my parents moved into Breton Terrace and soon after my dad needed hospice care. All along the way they received wonderful care from the staff at Holland Home and Faith Hospice.”
